CARTESIAN ROBOT FOR FOOD & BIO WASTERobotics
The DanTech Cartesian Robot is a bespoke project for the handling of waste product from supermarkets for recycling.
The first of its kind in the UK for pre-sorted waste food from bakery and bio-product producers destined for further treatment.
Collected in 300l stainless steel mobile tubs, the operation takes place within 2 rooms, 16 x 8m and secured to the highest standards with Fortress locks, no-person can enter during operating hours. Maintenance staff have radio-controlled functionality to raise, lower, and move on the X & Y & Z axis the cartesian coordinate system.
Waste would be deposited into waste skips to evenly fill any size of skip. Due to the size and complex nature of the project two cartesian cranage systems are served by a 5.5m high lifter/tipper with 300 kg of waste product.
DanTech designed, built, and engineered the complete project including all safety devices and PLC programmes.
